The four check-in styles
Most products offer some mix of these:

- Staff tap-in: a teacher checks children in from a roster. The backup when a parent forgets.

What to look for beyond the tap
Check-in is also your attendance ledger, your occupancy picture, and your custody record. Look for a kiosk that still works with coffee in one hand, a staff backup when the PIN is forgotten, a timestamped signature when licensing asks, and history you can export for an inspection.
